Christ Lutheran Preschool Welcomes a New Outdoor Classroom!

We are thrilled to announce an exciting addition to our learning community—our brand-new Outdoor Classroom, designed to nurture the minds, hearts, and spirits of our preschoolers in God’s creation! This space will be an ongoing project that will be completed in phases.  Phase one is to secure a storage area with learning experiences packed in.

Nestled safely on our church grounds, this space is more than a playground—it’s an intentional environment where children can explore, discover, and grow through hands-on experiences rooted in wonder, faith, and joy.

🌿 What Does the Outdoor Classroom Offer?

  • Creation-Based Learning: Children will engage with nature while learning about God’s world through seasonal exploration, gardening, and observing wildlife.

  • Gross Motor Development: Movement, coordination, and physical confidence will blossom as children climb, balance, and build in open-ended natural areas.

  • Sensory & STEM Play: Dirt, water, logs, leaves, and tools offer endless opportunities to explore early science, math, and problem-solving through active play.

  • Faith-Inspired Discovery: Daily experiences will gently reflect Christian values—gratitude, stewardship, kindness—woven into conversations and care for God’s earth.

  • Social Growth & Collaboration: Natural materials invite teamwork, storytelling, and shared creativity, building relationships and empathy in a peaceful setting.

This space celebrates the love of learning and the beauty of belonging, aligning with our mission to foster whole-child growth—spiritually, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

We invite families, church members, and friends to walk through, volunteer, and celebrate this growing garden of grace. Watch for ways to get involved, share materials, and witness your child’s joy in God's classroom under the sky!
